Daughters of the stars

E poi arriva quel giorno in cui guardandoti allo specchio realizzi che stai diventando uguale a tua madre. Ragazze, non ridete, questo momento arriva per tutte! Una cosa però è certa, nel mondo esiste una categoria di “super fortunate” che, oltre a ereditare vagonate di milioni, eredita anche un codice genetico ricco di bellezza e fascino.
Penso che abbiate intuito che mi riferisco alla folta schiera di baby (e meno baby) celebrity che stanno germogliando sotto l’ala protettiva delle più famose mamme preparandosi a riceverne il testimone.
Celebrato da Vogue Italia, con la cover che immortala Kate Moss insieme alla figlia Lila Grace, il fenomeno “figlie di”, che ha attecchito in particolar modo dalle parti di Hollywood, sembra non conoscere crisi.
Saranno pronte le Mamme a cedere il trono alla loro giovane prole? Da Julianne Moore a Madonna, passando per Cindy Crawford e Katie Holmes (giusto per citarne alcune), ci stiamo preparando ad assistere ad una guerra generazionale a colpi di copertine e rossetto.
State attente ragazzine, va bene che “la mamma è sempre la mamma”, ma è altrettanto vero che “gallina vecchia fa buon brodo”.

The “daughters” phenomenon, celebrated by Vogue Italia with a cover picturing Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace, is taking root specially in Hollywood and seems to be here to stay.

Watch out girls, even if “the mom is always the mom” she’s still got plenty of good tricks!
