Goa: the hippy paradise

In questa domenica di fine estate ho deciso di portarvi sulla costa occidentale dell’India.
Un viaggio introspettivo che ci condurrà a Goa, enclave delle cultura hippie che i Beatles scelsero nel 1968 come sede del loro ritiro spirituale.
Goa, ex colonia portoghese e più piccolo stato indiano, è visitata ogni anno da centinaia di migliaia di turisti che approdano in questo paradiso per viverne la ricchezza culturale ed ambientale.
Mare, storia, biodiversità e non solo, nel piccolo stato indiano è ancora possibile vivere gli anni dell’amore libero in piccole oasi sopravvissute all’arrivo del turismo di massa…

In this late summer Sunday I decided to take you to the Indian west coast. A trip that will lead us to Goa, enclave of the hippie culture, chosen in 1968 by the Beatles as their spiritual retreat place. Goa, a former Portuguese colony and the smallest state of the Indian republic, receives every year hundreds of thousands of tourists who come to enjoy the cultural and environmental richness of the city. Sea, history, biodiversity and much more, in this small state it’s still possible to feel and live the years of the free love in small oases that managed to survive to mass tourism…
