The man of black and white-Richard Avedon

Quando si parla di fotografia, l’unico grande maestro è lui: Richard Avedon.

La prima volta che ho sentito il suo nome è stato nel 1994: avevo dodici anni e sulle riviste patinate di mia mamma vedevo immortalate dal suo obiettivo le più grandi top model per le fantastiche campagne Versace. Erano i volti di Stephanie Seymour, Naomi, Claudia, Amber Valletta, tutte in pose plastiche con modelli dai fisici scolpiti. E poi i suoi ritratti in bianco e nero, che “rendevano” ancora di più di uno scatto a colori: pieni di energia , vitalità e charme. Nel suo lungo percorso ha fotografato i più grandi della moda, del cinema, dell’arte e della letteratura fino ad arrivare alla politica. Quindi la prossima volta che vi trovate, anche per caso, di fronte ad una sua retrospettiva, non lasciatevela scappare!

And then his portraits in black and white, that were even more realistic than a shooting in color: full of energy, vitality and charm.
