when art meets fashion

Oggi lascio da parte il mondo della moda per trasportarvi nel magico mondo dell’arte. Sembra a volte che questi due mondi paralleli, deviino per un attimo la loro corsa fino ad incontrarsi. Quante volte, in particolare durante le presentazioni di Haute Couture, assistiamo a interviste di designer che dichiarano di aver tratto ispirazione da questo o quell’artista? Chi  non ricorda l‘abito Mondrian di Saint Laurent, oppure la giacca ispirata agli Iris di Van Gogh sempre dello stesso stilista, o ancora la performance messa in scena dal compianto Alexander McQueen in stile Pollock?

Today I want to leave the fashion world and take you to the magical world of art. Sometimes seems that these two parallel worlds, deviate from their paths and until they bump into each other. How many times, especially during Haute Couture presentations, we watch and listen designers telling how much they were inspired by works of this or that famous artist? We all remember the Mondrian dress by Saint Laurent, or the jacket inspired to Van Gogh’s Iris,  or the Pollock-styled performance by Alexander McQueen.
