Classe ’21, si avete capito bene! La novantatreenne Iris è l’arzilla interior designer che ha inventato lo stile presidenziale Americano. La Apfel, ha infatti arredato la Casa Bianca per ben nove mandati, da Truman a Clinton passando per Kennedy, ed è stata la magistrale interprete delle piccole rivoluzioni stilistiche del 1600 di Pennsylvania Avenue.
Bizzarro mix di etnico e di haute couture, la sua eleganza è figlia di quella vulcanica energia che prende vita negli originali accostamenti dei suoi outfit.
