Self-taught, during his teen years he enjoys creating dresses that he sells in his parent’s garage. A few years later he starts to become noted for designing some dresses for a bunch of boutiques in NY. He is just 22 when decides to launch his own women’s fashion line based on the creation of elegant and casual models. The fame and success of his brand are the opening act of his international ascent: in 1997 he’s appointed creative director of the historical maison Céline. Under the guide of Kors, Céline changes deeply in its DNA, becoming one of the most internationally acclaimed fashion houses. The 2003 marks a return to his roots, Michael Kors leaves Céline to dedicate time to the relaunch of his brand. Well known among the big public for the unique laughter he exhibited as a usual jury member in Project Runway, Michael is one of the most appreciated artists of the star system.
