La vita di Carolyn Jeanne Bessette Kennedy è stata il tipico esempio di “favola” newyorkese senza però il consueto lieto fine.
Tutto ebbe inizio nel quartier generale di Calvin Klein, dove lei lavorava come pubblicitaria, quando incontrò John F. Kennedy Jr.
I due si sposarono il 21 settembre del 1996 sull’isola di Cumberland, lontano dai flash del gossip.
Lei e John John incarnarono l’ultimo sogno della first family americana che, tra tormenti e scandali, vide trasformare l’anonima Carolyn in una bellissima sposa Narcisio Rodriguez.
Emblema del Prada style, la signora Kennedy diventò in breve tempo la regina del minimalismo newyorkese.

She and John embodied the last dream of the american first family, which among scandals and harassment, saw the anonymous Carolyn turn into a beautiful Narciso Rodriguez bride. Symbol of the Prada style, Mrs. Kennedy soon became the queen of the New York minimalism. White, black and grey were her colors; Yohji Yamamoto, Prada and Levi’s, her top brands. The dream of “The Look” (nickname given to her by Anna Wintour), sank into the Atlantic Ocean in July 1999, erased by the Kennedy curse that deprived the USA of their almost Queen.
